The Danish Research School of Anthropology and Ethnography is supported by the Danish Research Training Council and was established to strengthen PhD training in anthropology. The objective is to prepare the next generation of researchers to engage new challenges using the rich potential of our discipline.

The Research School is based at the country's two anthropology departments: the Department of Anthropology under the Social Science Faculty at the University of Copenhagen, and the Department of Anthropology and Ethnography, under the Humanities Faculty of University of Aarhus. The Research School has a close cooperation with The Centre for Comparative Cultural Studies of the University of Copenhagen and with the ethnographic departments of Denmark’s National Museum in Copenhagen, and Moesgård Museum in Århus. PhD students in anthropology and their supervisors at other institutes are welcome to participate in the Research School’s activities.
